The following are the rules and guidelines for 2010. It looks like a lot but it's really very simple and we hope you will find this page helpful. If ever have any questions or are unsure of something we're here to help, just Drop Us An E-Mail we'll answer as soon as we can.
**We do NOT sell/share/rent/loan any information concerning anyone participating with this program with any third party. Email addresses are asked for only to make the notification process quicker.
NOMINATIONS
1. For nominations to go forward with out program they must be on websites that are open to the public without having to sign-up for membership or password or being someone's 'friend'. Nominated websites must also be open to the public in the same manner.
2. Nominating for others; You may nominate as many works as you like in as many categories as you like.
3. Nominating for yourself; You may nominate up to 10 works TOTAL.
4. Entire series of works may be nominated or single selections from a series may be nominated individually. (See "series definition" below for more information)5. Original characters are welcome.
6. All works of fiction must be clearly and properly rated G to NC/17. Art and Vids containing adult material should also be rated.
7. The age of a work does not matter, so long as it was created within the lifetime of the show it is eligible.
8. Winning works may not be nominated again.
9. We do NOT accept nominations containing:

CATEGORY GUIDELINES
10. A category needs to receive 3 nominations to open. That's 3 nominations split between, at least, 2 people. No exceptions in 2010 although we did make a few in 2009. If we do not receive enough nominations for a category to open we will do our best to place those nominations within another suitable category. Where applicable, sub-categories will open first by pairing (House/Cuddy, House/Cameron, House/Wilson etc.). Nominations will be further broken down into sub-categories (romance, drama, etc.) also with a minimum of 3 nominations per sub-category. The MORE nominations we receive the MORE categories we can open!
11. Categories will NOT open so that a single nominee may run only against themselves.For purposes of this program:
A. The term "Art" refers to any still (non-moving) visual graphic medium; Cartoon/Comic Strip, Banners, Computer Renderings, Drawings, Icons, Paintings, Photo Manipulations (head/body exchange), Sketches, Wallpapers, and the like.
B. The term "Gen" refers to any work WITHOUT a sexual/romantic pairing. This category includes Friendship based stories/depictions. These stories/works may contain violence and/or adult themes but they must be without sex. They may contain unresolved sexual tension/longing.
C. The term "Relationship Based" refers to any work containing at least one romantic/sexual pairing no matter the orientation of the pairing (m/f, m/m, or, f/f). These stories contain a 'ROMANTIC' RELATIONSHIP' with actual depictions of sex and/or sexual memories, heavy violence, adult themes and situations.
D. The term "Crossover" refers to any work containing characters from House, MD and one (or more) other fandoms.
E. The term of "Kink" refers to any work WITH EXPLICIT SEX but WITHOUT 'ROMANTIC' TIES. They may contain one or more of the following; Anonymous Sexual Encounter, Fantasy/Dream, Heavy SMBD, Hooker/Gigolo, Threesomes/Moresomes ALL WORKS HERE ARE RATED NC/17
F. The term of "Erotic/Erotica" refers to any work WITH EXPLICIT SEX and WITH 'ROMANTIC' TIES to at least one pairing involved in the work. They may revolve around only a single couple with romantic ties. These may also contain one or more of the following: Fantasy/Dream, Role Playing, SMBD, Threesomes and group ALL WORKS HERE ARE RATED NC/17
G. The term "Series" refers to any works containing 3 or more interwoven stories or artistic depictions. It does NOT refer to any longer story where the chapters have been named rather than numbered. Individual stories within a series must have a beginning, a middle and an end, and for the most part, be able to stand alone.
H. The term "Website" refers to any set of webpages (personal or archive site) that is House, MD centered and open to the public. Forums/Message Boards/Communities are NOT eligible for this category.
Any work found to be purposefully improperly placed will be removed without notice.
Information for Nominees
12. Nominees will have the final say on placement of their work and whether or not they wish their work to go forward with our program. Nominees must contact us regarding their nomination upon being notified. If we do not hear from a nominee their work will be discarded. If we cannot make contact with a nominee their work will be discarded. In order to ensure contact please set your spam filters to accept email from rockingthehouse@rocketmail.com
13. You MAY have more than one work in any given category but a single work may NOT be in more than one category. You must choose one category for your work to go forward in.
14. Nominees must tell us if they go by more than one pseudonym and choose one to be identified by within this program.
15. Upon your acceptance of your nomination you may begin posting the news if you want. Post to your site/page/blog and/or favorite forum. A small Nominee's Button will be made available to you for your free use. Please download this graphic and do not link to it on our site. A link back to our main page is very much appreciated

16. Please do NOT post links to any page other than the main page--Nominations and Voting pages are 'Members Only' and non-members will not be allowed entry and will only become confused and frustrated by this.
17. Nominees MAY 'stump for votes', it's ok to tell people you'd like to win (if you do) and that you would appreciate it if they would vote for you/your work within our program. Please do this in a kind manner.
